On Saturday, a bear destroyed a residential hen coop in Auburn, consuming the household pets.
“It was sort of a hen bloodbath and these have been our pets,” says Auburn resident Crystal Seal.
It ate nearly each hen, just one chick survived. The household says they handled the birds like household.
“It was horrible, they smashed the glass, they went in for the eggs, they took all of the chickens,” says Crystal.
